Breaking the limit of linear scaling relationships on carbon dioxide reduction via alloying engineering

Growing global warming and energy crisis are calling for effective carbon dioxide mitigation technologies and alternative energy resources. Catalytic reduction of carbon dioxide into hydrocarbon fuels is one of the most important prototype reactions. This project aims to address this significant challenge by modulating the coordination environment around Cu atom through alloy engineering based on high throughput computational screening.
