Australia's Economic Accelerator grant success!

QCMS Investigator Professor Deepak Dubal  will lead a team of Queensland researchers awarded a $384,271  grant through Australia’s Economic Accelerator (AEA).

The team will collaborate with Sparc Technologies Ltd., an industry partner, to advance their work in creating sustainable hard carbon materials from agricultural waste. These materials are intended for use in sodium-ion batteries and are expected to equal or surpass the efficiency of current commercial alternatives, representing a significant step forward in the development of eco-friendly energy solutions with a smaller carbon footprint.

The work will address national priority area “Value-add in agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector”.
