Our Summer Research Experience Program gives undergraduate students an opportunity to participate in a research project for approximately six weeks during the summer holidays.
The program is open to STEM students in second year or above and external to QUT, offers paid, hands-on research experience and the opportunity to explore the possibilities of research in materials science.
As part of your research you will receive funding equivalent to $335 per week. The period of eligibility for scholarship payments generally commences in mid-November and concludes in mid-February. Funding is not normally available for research taking place outside of the academic calendar, such as during Christmas break.
