Brett Davis is a Senior Researcher in the Contact Lens and Visual Optics Laboratory (CLVOL). Brett graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physics) from QUT in 1990 and first worked as a draftsman at a laser company on the Gold Coast. He joined the Contact Lens and Visual Optics Laboratory in 1990 as a research assistant on an Australian Research Council grant to study continuous accommodation response. Brett has subsequently contributed significantly to the progress of the CLVOL, through his innovative work in software and hardware development. Brett’s research has primarily focused on visual optics, corneal topography and instrumentation development.
In 2003, Brett Davis was the recipient of a university “Outstanding Contribution” award which recognised his “exceptional contribution” to research in the QUT School of Optometry. In 2015, Brett received his “25 Years’ Service” accolade. Brett has been an author on numerous research papers and is an inventor on many patents.
