Dr Ross Brown
One of the leaders of the CLEVAR group, Ross is a senior lecturer at QUT. He has interests in Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing, as well as Virtual and Augmented Reality. With a desire to explore both the technology and cognitive effects of virtual worlds, Ross was one of the founding members of the CLEVAR group. He has a hand in many research projects dealing with virtual space. Ross continually endeavours to form links with business, industry and academic partners. As such, he has immersed himself in mixed reality gatherings, and has effectively become 'one with the virtual'. -
Dr Selen Turkay
Selen is one of the founding member of the CLEVAR group. She is a lecturer at QUT, and is involved in a number of research projects dealing with virtual reality. Selen's interests are the motivational and psychological effects of virtual reality applications. With a strong knowledge of experimental design, she aids in the development of various research projects. -
Dr David Conroy
A lecturer at QUT, David's interests are Artificial Intelligence in games and game design, with a strong focus on teaching. He is exploring VR technology and investigating the uses and effects of eye tracking. Being an avid gamer, David is always keen to test the implementation of enemy AI. -
Dr Joel Harman
Currently dedicated to a research project in developing virtual reality applications, Joel has a strong background in coding. His past research project looked at the effects of virtual environments on memory and recall. As part of that, he examined the effects of assistant avatars as a method of gathering information from users. -
