Responsible Urban Innovation 

 

Program Synopsis

This research program aims to address contemporary urban planning and development problems by focusing on the existing and emerging state-of-the-art urban innovation advances. The program not only concentrates on finding new ways to deal with social, economic, environmental, governmental, and technology-related problems of our urban environments and communities, but also makes sure that these innovative practices, solutions, and services are fully responsible ones. This responsible urban innovation emphasis, in turn, helps in solving or alleviating the problems and subsequently securing sustainability urban futures for all. With the responsible urban innovation perspective in mind, the projects in this research program cluster around smart technologies, communities, cities, urbanism, and governance topics. The research program covers, but not limited to, the following topics:
