Compassion means being moved by another’s suffering and wanting to help. We’re motivated by a desire to maximise the emotional, psychological, and relational well-being of individuals and communities impacted by the legal system.
Our research explores the nature, role and effects of compassion as a catalyst for informing and empowering legal and regulatory responses to social pathologies. We are designing strategies for addressing compassion deficits in law and policy which impact on the well-being of diverse and emerging identities and the environment.
