    Katelyn previously graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Science (Biological Sciences/Human Biomolecular Sciences) in 2018 and a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (First Class Hons.) in 2019. Her Honours project investigated the antibiotic resistance and virulence potential of bacteria in diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs).

    Katelyn Gough is a PhD candidate within the Molecular Microbial Pathogenesis group at QUT’s Centre for Immunology and Infection Control. Under the primary supervision of Adjunct Professor Flavia Huygens and Dr Samantha Dando, she is completing a PhD that investigates the effect of diurnal rhythms on the gut metabolome in patients with diabetes. For this research, Katelyn is an awardee of an Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend.
