Dana Lee

    PhD Student

    Dana Lee is currently undertaking a PhD in the Neuroimmunology and Infections Research Group at QUT’s Centre for Immunology and Infection Control. Prior to the commencement of her PhD, she completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours), where she characterized Toxoplasma gondii invasion and innate immune activation in the brain and retina in a mouse model of acute toxoplasmosis. She was awarded an Australian Government Research Training Program Stipend and a Faculty of Health Excellence Top-Up Scholarship for her current research.

    Dana’s PhD project aims to investigate the long-term effects of T. gondii infection on the development of degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and aged-related macular degeneration.
