Emma Carpendale is a Doctor of Philosophy candidate in the School of Psychology and Counselling at QUT. Her research aims to characterise the social and emotional competencies present in middle childhood (aged 11-12 years) within an Australian population cohort (NSW-CDS). Her primary research interests span child mental health, developmental trajectories, and educational outcomes. Emma received a QUT medal in 2019 when graduating from her Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) degree and again in 2020 following her successful completion of the Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Honours Psychology) degree. Emma has also received an Australian Psychological Society award for her academic achievement at QUT in 2020.
