
Annetta Cayas teaches and researches at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. She is a doctoral candidate whose research explores the intersection between families and schooling, and examines the labour undertaken by parents to support their children’s schooling. Her research draws on sociological approaches, including institutional ethnography, and reveals how schooling reshapes the experiences of diverse young people, parents, and families. Annetta is also a registered secondary school teacher who teaches in both undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education programs.
