Online Safety Education - Best Practice Framework
This project was commissioned by the eSafety Commissioner to undertake research to develop a best practice framework for online safety education for Australian schools (Foundation to Year 12). The research was undertaken in two stages. Stage one involved a rapid review of 8 sources of evidence to assess current understandings of best practice in the area of online safety education. Data extraction, analysis, and synthesis of this information were undertaken to design a draft Framework for Online Safety Education (the Framework). Stage two involved consultation with a range of stakeholders, in individual interviews and roundtable discussion groups for the purpose of testing, refining, and finalising the Framework.
