Professional development and resources for Queensland early childhood education and care services
The evaluation of LEAPS (Learning Eating Active Play Sleep) is a systematic evaluation of the largest Professional Development Program for Australian early childhood educators to improved educator knowledge of and confidence in applying national healthy eating and physical and activity guidelines in ECEC settings (national Get Up and Grow Guidelines). Led by QUT in partnership with NAQ Nutrition, LEAPS provides professional development and resources for Queensland early childhood education and care services on providing nutritious food and healthy activity for the children in their services. LEAPS has reached over 489 services, 2770 educators and will directly impact 33,000 children who attend these services; and over 1700 educators have completed a before survey before doing the LEAPS PD.
