
Kristin is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow and Professor in the School of Psychology and Counselling at Queensland University of Technology. She is also Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Psychiatry at University of New South Wales, Sydney, and Visiting Senior Researcher at the Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Neuroscience, King’s College London, UK. Kristin’s primary research interests are in child and adolescent mental health. She conducts multi-disciplinary longitudinal research projects that use life-course epidemiology and cognitive neuroscience methods to characterise developmental pathways from childhood to diverse health, social, and educational outcomes in adolescence and young adulthood, including for children exposed to early childhood adversities. Her research aims to identify new prevention and early intervention opportunities that promote successful development for all individuals. She works with clinical colleagues and education professionals to develop new programs and policies to support young people’s healthy development and educational attainment.
