
Adrian is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Queensland University of Technology, and Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Queensland. He received his Masters of Clinical Psychology and PhD from the University of Queensland. Adrian is a Fellow of the Clinical College (Australian Psychological Society) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His research has primarily focused on adolescent mental health, including the development and resolution of depressed mood, eating and weight loss preoccupations, alcohol, tobacco and other substance abuse, and school disengagement. He works closely with universities across Australia to track the impact of communities and families on adolescent outcomes. His teaching is clinically oriented, covers undergraduate and postgraduate training, and is focused on addictive behaviours and family problems. Adrian also has postgraduate qualifications in business and a strong interest in strengthening the launches of adolescents as they move through and beyond high school.
