PhD Candidate

Project title

A Bioinformatics Framework and Deep Learning Model for Radiogenomics in Cancer

Supervisory Team

Principal Supervisor: Dr Shivashankar Hiriyur Nagaraj
Associate Supervisor: Dr Sivakumaran Theru Arumugam
Mentoring Supervisor: Professor Derek Richard

Project description

Through his PhD-research in Radiogenomics, Shrey has developed a robust AI-based software for effective integration of radiomic/imaging and omics data for cancer patients that has a potential to be validated and utilized in a clinical setting for effective monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. The software has been tested through Glioblastoma Multiforme and Non-Small cell Lung cancer datasets so far and is currently being tested on other cancer types as well. A web application for this software is ready to be released soon to public to enable testing through cancer datasets globally. This would help craft a great knowledgebase for imaging-genomics datasets, thereby aiding the advancement of precision medicine for betterment of patients worldwide.
