Project title
Computational analysis of single-cell transcriptomic data to understand treatment response in Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer
Supervisory Team
Principal Supervisors: Professor Colleen Nelson, Associate Professor Debarka Sengupta
Associate Supervisors: Dr Anja Rockstroh, Dr Brett Hollier
Project description
Namrata’s research focuses on uncovering the intricacies of the tumor microenvironment using single-cell RNAseq transcriptomic data. Her project aims to harness the power of artificial intelligence to gain a deeper insight of metastatic prostate cancer metabolism. She has developed a tool that can identify novel subclones in cancer and categorize them based on their impact on patients’ survivability. This has allowed her to delve into the lineage plasticity of advanced metastatic prostate cancer in greater detail.
