Project description

Mayur’s project aims to identify origin of cancers of unknown primary. For this, he is using deep learning and gene expression data. Mayur’s project also involves explainable AI to identify model driving genes. These genes would be the minimal number of gene required to locate origin of CUP.

Short Biography

Mayur has a master’s degree in Bioinformatics and eight years of work experience in next-generation sequencing data analysis. Before studying at QUT,  he worked as a Bioinformatician at Bionivid Technology (a genomics data analysis company) and University of Macau. Mayur’s skillset includes omics data analysis, machine learning, deep learning, python R, and Java programming.
