Hamzeh Mesrian Tanha

PhD Candidate

Project title

Identifying and characterising serum metabolites associated with migraine risk

Supervisory Team

Principal Supervisor: Professor Dale Nyholt
Associate Supervisor(s): Professor Lyn Griffiths

Project description

Hamzeh aims to investigate the genetic overlap and causality between blood/urine metabolites/proteins and migraine utilising up to 8,000 genome-wide association summary statistics. His research has identified the metabolome/proteome and medically relevant disorders underlying migraine susceptibility and causation, providing a holistic overview of migraine pathophysiology.

Short Biography

Hamzeh is a statistical geneticist, studying complex traits.
