Project title

Common comorbid complaints in endometriosis patients

Supervisory Team

Principal Supervisor: Professor Dale Nyholt
Associate Supervisor: Professor Lyn Griffiths

Project description

Emmanuel’s PhD research focuses on endometriosis, a gynaecological disorder affecting about 196 million reproductive-aged women, worldwide. The disorder has no curative treatment, and it often co-occurs with several chronic diseases. This is where Emmanuel’s research comes in, assessing the co-occurrence of endometriosis with asthma, depression and migraine using advanced statistical methods in the analysis of world-leading genetic data. Findings from this project have the potential of contributing to improved diagnosis, treatment and prevention of endometriosis and its comorbidities.
