Project Title

The Relationship Between Migraine and Human Gut Microbiome

Supervisory Team

Primary Supervisor: Professor Dale Nyholt

Associate Supervisor: Professor Divya Mehta

Project Description

My PhD research investigates the genetic relationship between migraine and the human gut microbiome using data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS). I apply statistical genetics methods to identify shared genetic factors and potential causal associations between the traits. This study aims to uncover novel biological mechanisms underlying migraine susceptibility, contributing to our understanding of its pathophysiology and potential therapeutic targets.
