Project description

Danhua’s project focuses on identifying genetic susceptibility loci of HPV-related cervical cancer, fine mapping and understanding the function of those loci.

Short Biography

Danhua is a PhD student within the QUT Faculty of Health. Danhua was trained initially as a clinician. She became interesting in scientific research during her Master, where she started doing biomedical research on the effect of microRNAs in renal fibrosis, and also joined a Biomedical Science Summer Research Program in UQ in 2014. After graduate, she worked as a resident doctor in the department of Gynecology and Obstetric in the First Affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. With great passion on scientific research, she began her PhD in 2020.
