Project title
Identifying and understanding the molecular mechanisms of migraine via functional interpretation of genome-wide association study (GWAS) data
Supervisory Team
Principal Supervisor: Professor Dale Nyholt
Associate Supervisor: Associate Professor Divya Mehta
Project description
Ammarah’s PhD project aims to develop pipeline integrating GWAS and gene expression data to identify pathogenic tissues for multiple traits including migraine. Afterwards, she will be integrating methylation and gene expression data to identify likely candidate causal genes followed by gene set enrichment analysis to identify pathways involved in migraine.
