Striving for climate justice: The role of the Legal Assistance Sector in responding to climate change-informed civil law needs of priority population groups in Australia.
This PhD research examines the readiness of Australia’s public legal service system (the Legal Assistance Sector) to respond to climate change-informed legal problems. It asks, how is climate change shaping the legal needs of priority population groups, and how equipped is the LAS to deal with that changing landscape?
This mixed method study includes interviews and a survey with lawyers working across the LAS.
