To coincide with the High-Level Global Conference on Youth Inclusive Peace Processes, the QUT Centre for Justice hosted an event to present key insights from the report Making Noise and Getting Things Done: Youth Inclusion and Advocacy for Peace. This report drew on stories of young people’s peace work and their proposals for substantive engagement in Afghanistan, South Sudan and Myanmar and offers practical recommendations for how national, regional and international stakeholders can support and amplify the fundamental and vital peace work youth are leading in their communities.
This well-attended event created a space where youth researchers could share their work and space with some of the youth peacebuilders from Afghanistan and South Sudan who participated in the research.
