Dr Gina Masterton discusses the Hague Convention and domestic and family violence

Gina Masterton

QUT Centre for Justice member, Dr Gina Masterton has been interviewed by ABC Radio and Online+ for commentary on The Hague Convention and its implications on families experiencing domestic and family violence.

While the Hague Convention was intended to stop one parent abducting a child and taking them to a different county, many domestic violence victims argue the Hague Convention is forcing them to stay in dangerous situations in a foreign country or leave their child behind.
