Ryan Payne

Ryan is excited to be a part of the Centre for Future Enterprise while completing his doctoral research. Ryan’s broader research focuses on how adaptive technology can disrupt current consumer behaviour literature. Currently his thesis is titled “How setting a price through biometrics affects the relationship of Privacy and Perceived value of a product.”

Ryan has published and presented internationally not only for his academic publications but also for his work in the fashion industry. Previously Ryan completed a Masters of Fashion from Ryerson University (Toronto, Canada) and a Business Degree from the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada). Currently Ryan is a personal shopper in London, England with clothing, perfume and architecture designs in international markets such as New York, Shanghai and Toronto.

In the CFE space, Ryan helps lead the Doctoral Colloquium each year and the CFE Higher Degree Research (HDR) Speaker Series. Non academically, Ryan is the principal for an investment fund, RWP financial, one of the founders of WeaveNetworks.com, an Internet Service Providing Company in Canada, and RyanPayneDesign which provides consulting services on how to monetize and develop for the creative industry as an entrepreneur.

Previously Ryan has been the Chief Financial Officer for the Canadian Liver Foundation, held a term elected seat on the Health Advisory Board for Alberta Health Services (AHS) and sat on numerous Not-For-Profit governing boards.
