Dr Ellen Tyquin is a mixed-methods, early career researcher with a focus on the role stakeholders and communication play in creating, sustaining, and repairing organisations and industries facing complex, real-world problems. Her research is aligned to the public relations discipline and her PhD explored key concepts such as trust and distrust, at both the organisational and industry level, in crisis and change contexts to better understand how we can improve stakeholder communication. In 2021, Ellen joined the Future Energy Exports CRC (FEnEx CRC) as a Foundation Fellow in the Market and Sector Development team. The focus of this project is to build a sustainable energy export industry for Australia with an eye on hydrogen and LNG. Through her time at QUT Ellen has supported over $350K worth of research projects with multiple industry partners including Seqwater, Sanofi, Insurance Australia Group (IAG), and iSelect. She is also a sessional lecturer and tutor for a number of undergraduate public relations subjects.
