Professor Amisha Mehta

Professor Amisha Mehta specialises in risk and crisis management and organisational change at the QUT Business School. Her research supports organisational and individual decision-making in the context of risk and uncertainty. She has worked on a number of industry projects that investigate risk perception and the management of drones, and risk and crisis decision-making practices of communities and business owners. Amisha’s advice to industry is evidence-based and draws on interdisciplinary research principles. Amisha shares research findings with industry professionals via tailored workshops, publishes in academic journals and in learning activities with students. Amisha is a member of the Advisory Panel convened by the Office of the Inspector General Emergency Management. Amisha has received a number of awards for her teaching and research work including a CRC Outstanding Achievement in Research Collaboration Award, a Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence, and an Australian Learning and Teaching Citation. Prior to joining QUT, Amisha worked in communication for organisations in Brisbane and London.
