Denise is a PhD candidate and sessional academic at QUT Faculty of Business and Law (School of Management). Denise is intrigued by interactions between community and market economies. Her PhD research explores diverse social finance arrangements in the context of alternative food networks in Australia to understand emerging social dynamics and potential implications for community outcomes.
Currently, Denise is the coordinator/activator of the CDWI HDR Community of Practice. Her research and teaching experiences involve sustainability, alternative economies, and agri-food systems. She has extensive professional experience in different industries (banking, development agencies, co-operatives, and not-for-profits), advancing and integrating ESG matters into organisational and industry contexts.
