This project aims to explore the implications for organizations and disabled jobseekers of the use of AI in recruitment and selection. The growing use of online recruitment methods by employers, current literature has neglected the implications for job applicants from web-based and AI-enabled recruitment and selection practices from an equality perspective. Online recruitment can create disability inequality through practices and processes which are designed around taken for granted ‘ideal qualities and behaviour’ which position disabled people as less productive compared to non-disabled people.
