HDR student Tina Gingell has been invited to present at the 2023 Culture of Care: Multicultural health symposium held in Brisbane!This event runs from the 25-26 May 2023 and will showcase current multicultural health initiatives from across the state. Tina will be presenting the findings from a community led initiative which explored community roles that facilitate cultural food access for people from refugee backgrounds in Greater Brisbane. Tina’s WCCNR research project ‘Connecting with Cultural Foods’ works with communities in South East Queensland to ensure culturally diverse people to have better availability, accessibility and utilisation of their foods to improve their physical, mental and cultural health.
