Program mission
As the world transitions to greater use of renewable and clean energy, these new sources and the systems for their generation and distribution need to be optimised to ensure they can provide reliable, cost-effective energy over the long term.
Our program investigates a range of areas relating to future energy system design and use, including:
- Power system reliability, cost/benefit and lifecycle analysis and planning
- Distribution systems operation, control, planning and cost-effective coordination of renewable resources
- Condition monitoring of wind turbines and primary power transmission assets
- Aged care smart homes using resident identification sensors
