I have been employed at Queensland University of Technology since 2015 and am currently an Advance Queensland Research Fellow. My main expertise is the design, fabrication and characterization of superconducting (SC) materials for practical applications. This is achieved by correlating the structure, physics and chemistry of materials with their bulk physical and electronic properties. My research has explored a variety of topics including solar cells, iron- and boron- based superconductors, superparamagnetic materials and borides. My Advance Queensland Fellowship in partnership with Siemens (Aust) Pty Ltd focuses on development of new SC components with low thermal loss and high power density for use in high efficiency motors.
