Poster and Pitching Competition

Queensland Health researchers who conduct current and/or translation-ready research presented posters at a pitching session attached to this year’s showcase.

PhD Candidate Jonathan Gospos, a clinical radiographer at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, showcased innovative treatment strategies for osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. Drawing on expertise as both a radiographer and pharmacist, Jonathan’s research explores novel tissue engineering and regenerative medicine approaches to advance bone healing and local chemotherapy delivery to prevent tumour recurrence. Jonathan is a PhD Candidate at our Centre and the Max Planck Queensland Centre.

The MedTech Experience Room

CBT was also represented in the experience room, an exhibition where visitors could touch and try out the latest MedTech products and services from leading Queensland companies.

Tony Parker showed Revita amniotic allografts for chronic wound care. Both visitors and media could explore product samples and discuss clinical applications.

Queensland Networking

CBT representatives joined people from across Queensland Health, as well as leaders from universities, industry and other government agencies involved in shaping and delivering healthcare. A few of the networking conversations were captured on camera.
