Our aim at the QUT-Sealy Centre for Biomechanics and Sleep Research is to use modern technologies to uncover new information about sleep biomechanics and sleep technology. Sealy, being a leading mattress company with high research interests, approached the QUT Biomechanics and Spine Research Group about involving biomechanics research in their mattresses. After 6 years in collaboration, the QUT-Sealy Centre for Biomechanics and Sleep Research was opened.
The office located in O Block at QUT Gardens Point, in combination with the R&D facilities at Sealy in Wacol, will provide opportunities for staff and students to learn from the best in the industry.
