Ever since I was a young child, I was fascinated by transport and people. I used to spend countless hours drawing lorries, trains, and planes and watching Thomas the Tank Engine. I have always been an avid people-watcher, and trying to understand both my family’s culture and the culture of where I was growing up. Even before I left secondary school, I knew I wanted to work in traffic psychology. I believe that the type of transport we have available can be crucial in determining our overall quality of life and mental wellbeing. I am devoted to applying my passion for psychology and behavioural sciences to the world of transport, be that in research, policymaking, commerce, or elsewhere. My PhD research is on the human factors issues of my proposed design for an Augmented Reality Head-up Display (AR-HUD) in Automated Vehicles.
