Prior to commencing her PhD, she was a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India, where she developed experience in using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods to study temporal variations in passenger demand, traffic conditions with real-time data. Then, she worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, India, where she worked on research and consulting assignments with a particular focus on understanding and exploring transport and logistics system and low-carbon vehicle technology in India. Her research interests particularly include developing a deeper understanding of the practical approaches for assessing equity in relation to accessibility, environment impacts, social well-being, mobility biographies approach, and mobility cultures that can be used to understand travel behaviour, the adoption of new transport technology and the medium- and long-term decisions on residential location, or social welfare. Her PhD research aims to comprehensively understand gendered differences in travel behaviour, considering the complexities and nuances of intersectionality within gendered experiences in mobility, transport access, affordability, safety, and convenience, informing equitable transport systems.
