Dr Etikaf is a research fellow at the CARRS-Q in the Intelligent Transport Systems within CARRS-Q. Etikaf joined the QUT in July 2017 for his PhD research on “Public transit gap identification: Exploiting big transit and traffic data”. The research work involved working with the novel big datasets available for transport agencies and planners, and proposed model for transit supply and demand. He graduated from QUT in 2022 and joined CARRS-Q as a research fellow. He has vast experience of working on the national and international industry projects. At CARRS-Q, he is working on the urban freight modelling projects. His current research interests are:
- ITS (intelligent transportation systems)
- Transit network analysis
- Big data in transportation
- Econometric modelling
- Traffic simulation
