PhD Research: A Gap Analysis of the Automated Speed Enforcement Operations and Regulations in Oman

The main purpose of this research is to examine the current speed camera program in Oman and provide opportunities for improvement.

It is divided into two main studies: the first, which has already been conducted, was about the operational aspects of Omani speed cameras. This study used gap analysis techniques to identify the operational areas that could be improved. Several steps in the operational aspect have been recommended.

The second study, which is being currently conducted, is about the theoretical aspect of speed camera project in Oman. Its main aim is to identify areas that need to be improved and propose suggestions for improvement.
