This research adopted an holistic approach to improving the safety of novice drivers by examining novice driver behaviour and licensing across a number of studies.
The overall aim was to understand novice drivers’ risk and protective factors at cultural, social, familial and individual driver levels.
The relative importance and combination of these roles were examined in order to determine the approaches that might be most effective countermeasures that might be effective in Oman.
