Ever since I was a young child, I was fascinated by transport and people. I used to spend countless hours drawing lorries, trains, and planes and watching Thomas the Tank Engine. I have always been an avid people-watcher, and trying to understand both my family’s culture and the culture of where I was growing up. Even before I left secondary school, I knew I wanted to work in Traffic Psychology. I believe that the type of transport we have available can be crucial in determining our overall quality of life and mental wellbeing. I am devoted to applying my passion for psychology and behavioural sciences to the world of transport, be that in research, policy-making, commerce, or elsewhere. My current PhD project is on the Human Factors issues of my proposed design for an Augmented Reality Head-up Display (AR-HUD) in Automated Vehicles.

“Can semi-automated vehicle safety be improved by sharing Trajectory Information Technology that informs drivers of the vehicle’s intentions?”
