The development of new technologies and methods are key to unleash the efficient production of bioproducts and provide new analytical and diagnostic capabilities. This program is focused on providing technological advances with faster and easier methods for bioproduction such as atmospheric and room temperature plasma mutagenesis to improve strain fitness and product accumulation, boost the development of DNA and RNA aptamer-based biosensors to deliver fast and precise molecular target detection, or using these two tools together to develop a high-throughput strain screening platform by utilizing aptamer-based biosensors to identify best performers during evolutionary strain-improvement assays.
Overall, the program aims to provide transformative tools able to boost our ability to generate bioproducts efficiently.
