A digital platform for soil carbon

QUT was a member of The Australian Government’s $14.23 million National Soil Carbon Program (NSCP) was developed to coordinate a national research network that would identify the most effective and practical strategies for managing soil carbon in Australian agricultural systems.

QUT is currently a key research partner in the delivery of Meat and Livestock Australia’s Carbon Neutral by 2030 Strategy. This includes research on grazing management for carbon sequestration and ecosystem services, the carbon and productivity benefit of incorporating legumes within cattle diet, and the development of a low-cost and accurate assessment of carbon fluxes in extensive grazing systems.
