Energy, Water and Sustainability

The Centre has unique capacity to assess the sustainability of bio-based production systems, by bringing together researchers from disciplines of economics, environmental and social sustainability. Our researchers have expertise in quantitative assessments techniques, such techno-economic analysis, environmental life cycle assessment, resource analysis, material flow analysis, and social impact assessment. These can be brought together in multi-criteria decision making frameworks to help our research partners identify sustainable production pathway, and generate sustainability metrics for reporting.

We have an multi-skilled team with extensive industrial experience using sophisticated models to help clients in Australia and overseas increase energy efficiency. This has reduced costs and improved the sustainability their operations.
