Zahra has a background in Agricultural Engineering specialized in Water and is currently pursuing her PhD at the School of Biology and Environmental Science. Her research investigates the effect of time-controlled grazing management on carbon storage in grassland soils. Zahra is using state of the art modelling approaches to capture Carbon and Nitrogen cycling in grasslands and evaluates the effect of different management strategies on water use efficiency in these agro-ecosystems. Her work provides critical data to identify best management practice for livestock farming in Australia, delivering both environmental and agronomic benefits for the agricultural sector.
