
Rob Kirkby is a research technician specialising in Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) and supports CAB Sustainable Agriculture with the technical skills and instrumentation necessary to drive advancements in agricultural science and environmental sustainability.
Rob has a special interest in Nitrogen gas emissions from agricultural soils and has published research on the 15N Gas Flux Method (15NGF) for quantification of soil di-nitrogen emissions using bespoke IRMS instrumentation constructed during his Masters research at QUT.
He remains actively involved in 15NGF and stable isotope plant and soil method development.
