
Nadeesha completed her PhD in Chemistry at Queensland University of Technology in 2024 where she focused on the conversion of agricultural waste into value-added products such as 5-(chloromethyl)furfural and lignin-based polyurethane foams. After her PhD, she joined the QUT Centre for Agriculture and the Bioeconomy as a Research Assistant as part of Dr Lalehvash Moghaddam’s research team. Her current research interests include biomass valorisation, waste-to-value processes, lignin modification and biopolymer production.
