Mansi Goyal, a PhD student in the Bioprocessing Program, is passionately engaged in cutting-edge research aimed at revolutionizing the realm of biobased nanomaterials.
Mansi studied MSc Chemistry at Punjab Agricultural University, India.
Her PhD study aims to explore nanocellulose-based photonic materials for advanced polymer composites applications, with a focus on harnessing the chiral nematic behavior of cellulose nanocrystals. This unique behavior allows to produce fascinating structural colors, unlocking new possibilities for applications in smart sensors, radiative cooling, and anticounterfeiting materials. Through her doctoral project, she aspires to contribute to the development of environmentally friendly materials that not only meet the needs of today’s society but also pave the way for a more sustainable and technologically advanced future.
In her free time, Mansi enjoys cooking and spending time with nature.
