Biography: Geoff Kent has over 35 years experience in raw sugar factory research, consulting and training, specialising in cane transport and milling. He is recognised internationally as a leading expert in milling technology.
Geoff is Leader of the Bioprocessing Program within the Centre for Agriculture and the Bioeconomy at Queensland University of Technology. The Bioprocessing Program covers the physical and chemical processing of biological materials. He is responsible for much of QUT´s research, consulting and training activities in sugarcane supply, transport and milling.
He has recently conducted consulting and training projects in Australia, Nicaragua, Indonesia, Guatemala, Switzerland, Mexico, and Reunion Island.
